FREE PREschool is Available for Children Living in Oakland County

Free, high quality preschool programs are available now throughout Oakland County. Families of four earning up to $60,500 per year are usually eligible and those earning up to $85,000 per year are sometimes eligible.

Experts agree that children who have quality early learning experiences are better prepared to be successful in school and throughout life. Oakland County’s free preschool opportunities, Head Start and the Great Start Readiness Program, use research-based curriculum to prepare children both academically and socially. These programs are certified as very high quality by the Early Childhood Investment Corporation.

Half- and full-day openings in schools and childcare centers are available with transportation services offered at select sites. To enroll, children must be three or four years old on or before September 1, 2016. Call 248-886-0011 today!

Great Start Collaborative-Oakland and Early On-Oakland, along with Wee Discover Child Care and Enrichment Center, are committed to ensuring that all children under the age of 5 year receive routine developmental screenings.
